Matjana Preschool welcomes volunteers for short or long stays. Hear volunteer stories from those who've already helped the school by teaching and loving our students.

If you're interested in volunterering at the school, you can organise your stay, directly through the school or indirectly through a tour company.

Organising to volunteer directly through the school

In this case we will ask for a donation to the school (it can be as much as you want) and rent which will be paid directly to the family you stay with (for stays of one week or longer). You will also need to pay the cost of transporting yourself to the school (although we can provide advice and meet you for the trip). The cost is very low, for example the bus fare from Manzini to Kaphunga is about US$3.  Email to us or phone +268 2505 4305 to arrange your volunteer stay witth the school.

Organising to volunteer indirectly through Woza Nawe tour

In this case you pay the tour costs specified by Woza Nawe tours. Be aware that the tour fee goes to the company and the school does not benefit financially from your tour (unless you choose to make a separate donation to the school). However if you want a hassle free trip with lunch and transport provided, this is the best option.
